Imagine unhurried care, unlimited questions, and a midwife you can contact whenever you need her.

Antenatal Care

This is what antenatal care should feel like: calm, connected, and centred around you.

I offer holistic, private antenatal care from early pregnancy through to birth preparation. Whether you're planning a home birth, a hospital birth, or a caesarean birth, I will walk with you every step of the way. My care is completely bespoke to your needs and available whether or not you're also receiving NHS maternity care.

I’m based in Folkestone, Kent, and travel anywhere within a 60-minute radius to provide care in the comfort of your own home.

Appointments typically last 1-2 hours and include plenty of time for questions, birth planning, and support. You’ll also have ongoing access to me via WhatsApp and email between appointments.

What does antenatal care include?

  • Continuity of carer—you will have the same known midwife (me!) throughout your pregnancy.

  • Booking appointment (8-10 weeks): Full antenatal check, medical and pregnancy history, personal maternity notes, care planning, blood pressure, urinalysis, and onward referrals if needed.

  • Regular home visits: Typically at 16, 20, 25, 28, 31, 34, 36, 38, 40, and 41 weeks.

  • In-depth birth planning tailored to your preferences and circumstances.

  • WhatsApp and telephone support in between appointments.

  • Blood pressure monitoring, urinalysis, fetal wellbeing and growth assessments at each visit.

  • Support with referrals and attendance at obstetric, ultrasound or consultant appointments if needed.

  • Early gender testing or NIPT (Harmony test) available from 12 weeks (additional cost).

  • Antenatal education included at every home visit: covering biomechanics, birth prep and more.

  • Colostrum harvesting kit provided if needed.

  • Debriefing previous births, if helpful.

Working alongside or instead of NHS care

I can provide all of your antenatal care or work alongside your NHS team. I recommend remaining registered with NHS maternity services to access ultrasound scans. However, I can also advise on and refer for private ultrasound options if preferred (additional costs apply).

Columns labeled 'Appointment Type' and 'What is Offered' show that different weeks, from booking to 42+ weeks, provide specific health checks, scans, birth planning, and support, including personalized care, blood tests, heartbeat checks, anomaly scans, and preparation for labor.
