Labour and Birth Support
Every birth matters. Your care should reflect that.
I offer personalised, relationship-based labour and birth care designed to support you whether you're planning a home birth, a hospital birth, or a planned caesarean.
If you're planning a home birth
I will come to your home once you’re in established labour and stay with you until after your baby is born. You’ll be supported by two experienced, confident midwives who believe deeply in physiological birth. We bring everything you need—including emergency equipment and medication—and we stay for 2–4 hours after birth to ensure you’re well, clean up, and help you settle into those first precious hours as a new family.
Your care includes:
A midwife (me!) on call for you 24/7 from 37 weeks
A second ZEST-registered midwife or MAMA on call from 37 weeks
Full clinical care at home during labour and birth
Birth pool, liner, hose and pump (if required)
Use of TENS machine and disposable pads
Entonox (gas and air) for pain relief
Aromatherapy, massage, and biomechanics for active birth
Vitamin K administration for baby if desired
Immediate postnatal care and support with feeding
OR
If you’re planning a hospital or caesarean birth
While I can’t provide clinical care within the NHS, I can still be by your side as a trusted advocate and birth partner. I’ll offer emotional and physical support throughout your labour or elective caesarean—someone who knows you and your wishes, and who can help you feel grounded and confident in any setting.
Your care includes:
A midwife (me!) on call for you 24/7 from 37 weeks
Non-clinical labour support at your chosen NHS birth centre, labour ward, or caesarean birth.
Advocacy and continuity of care throughout your birth experience
Active birth support, aromatherapy and massage
Who can access labour & birth care?
Labour and birth care is available for women and birthing people who have received at least some antenatal care with me. That’s because I believe the best outcomes come from continuity of care—a trusting relationship built over time.
Whether your pregnancy is straightforward or more complex, I offer care that is evidence-based, responsive, and completely individual to you.
A note on insurance…
I am legally required to hold indemnity insurance to provide labour and birth care. It is also a condition of my provider that all homebirths are attended by two ZEST-registered birth professionals. The cost of this insurance—approximately £1600—is factored into the total cost of your birth care package.
You can find more about ZEST Midwives here.
Payment plans are available and can be discussed and agreed during your initial consultation.
