What to expect from your postnatal visits
Each visit is tailored to your needs and may include:
For you:
Full physical and emotional health checks
Feeding support (breast, bottle, combination, or expressing)
Birth debrief and time to process your experience
Emotional and psychological check-ins
Breast check and breastfeeding support
Routine observations (blood pressure, temperature, pulse)
Uterus, bladder, bowel and perineal care
Support with postnatal bleeding, recovery and mobility
Advice on rest, exercise, and recovery after birth
WhatsApp access for non-urgent questions between visits
Having a baby is life-changing—and you deserve support that’s personal, gentle, and responsive to your unique needs. I’ll be by your side as you adjust to life with your newest little family member, offering continuity, reassurance, and space to rest and recover.
My postnatal care is centred around you and your baby. Appointments are relaxed and take place in the comfort of your home. Each visit lasts 1–2 hours and includes a full postnatal health check for both of you, feeding support, and practical guidance to help you feel confident in caring for your newborn.
For your baby:
Weight checks on days 5, 10 & 28
Visual head-to-toe check of overall wellbeing
Eye, cord and mouth care
Skin checks and reassurance around common newborn skin conditions
Bladder and bowel output assessment to support feeding
Support with common newborn behaviour, sleep, and settling
Newborn blood spot screening on day 5
Option to book a home-based NIPE newborn physical examination (within 72 hours, additional fee)
